Default KYB GR-2 Struts

Any one try these? I have mild ST 1.3" spings on the way and said what the hell I am there. I have found in the past that any shock on the market beats a OEM shock. WEll will let all know how it goes. I have to say I called local and the prices per strut were as follows, 79.00, 88.00, and 107.00. Tire Rack, 57.00 each! I hope they are a little less slopy than OEM and they are supposed to be. I had my Toyota Tacoma 2.75" down with 18" rims and Doshtech drop shocks and after 7 years was done with the kidney rattel on every bump, but it would go around any corner at any speed and you never had to worry, just hated the ride and want to drop the PT to get a little less sway in the corners but keep some of the ride if not most.

LAF, I have KYB struts and shocks on my 2002 N/A Limited along with a 2 inch drop all the way around. Cruiser handles great, I'm very happy with the KYBs.

IRPT,
Thanks that is good news. Could you tell a big diff.? I guess with springs and shocks it is hard to tell which had the most impact? Thanks again and It is very good to know I have made a choice that is proven by others.

LAF, since I added lowering springs, struts, shocks and front/rear sway bar all at one time I can't really say how much just one of the items my have affected the handling. I can say that my Cruiser corners great and is fun to drive. The ride is rougher than stock, but I like that... I feel like I'm driving the car now rather than just riding alone with no feedback from the road.

Laf I ran KYB's on my old cruiser with 1.4f/2.0r drop . They are definately stiffer but suited my style . I was one of the first to run these on my cruiser in the country as I had to cut( read hacksaw/file) the rear shocks mounts to get them fit properly. I know that my pics were forwarded to KYB and they re-did the rear mounts so others didn't have to do what I did .

flaskbk2,
Thanks for the info. Sometimes it is hell to be on the bleeding edge of new car mods. I thank you for your work and what it means to all of us following. I had the same issues with my Doshteck shocks, first on a Toyota Tacoma, they worked with me and put the right mounts on for me. I do want a little stiffer so it sounds from you and IRPT that I am on the right "mild" lowering adventure.
