No, they are not.

I've installed over a dozen CMX-7716 ceramic pads on N/A PTs. They are the best I've seen, but will not fit the GT.

I want ceramic pads for my GT as well. 3bar made the comment that SRT pads will fit our GT's. Do they make ceramic pads for the SRT? Has anyone tried this yet? Does anyone know???? [:I][:I][:I]

I just received my pads from EBC "greenstuff" from the Tire Rack yesterday. I will post the part numbers tomorrow. I have not done the swap yet but I am curious as to the labeling on the boxes. One box says it fits stratus/cirrus/daytona and a few others I can't recall, the other box just says chrysler PT cruiser. I was very explicit with the guy from Tire Rack that I had the GT and that the pads should be different, he said he was aware of the difference and that these were correct...we shall see... I also checked on GT rotors from EBC and they indicated that they would be available later in the Summer. As I said earlier, I will post the part numbers tomorrow.

All,

Here are the part numbers of the EBC "greenstuff" pads I got from Tire Rack;

Front...DP21357, box is labeled "Chrysler PT Cruiser"
Rear...DP21066, box is labeled "Neon/Intrepid/Daytona/Spirit/Stratus"

There were no applicable year notations on either box. Can anyone who has used the EBC pads on a N/A PT confirm if these were also the same part #s used?

I still have some time yet before I need to have the brakes done, just would like to have a good feeling that I have the correct parts for the GT brakes. I have heard that the pads are different for the N/A Cruisers but, for instance, on the rears, could there be more than one application for the GT brakes other than the SRT4?

All,

I pulled a front and rear brake assembly this weekend to verify the parts I got from EBC were a correct match. I only matched the parts, not enough time to turn the rotors and install them. The pads are a match, so things should be fine. I did notice that the original pads are beveled at both ends, whereas the EBCs look like full contact pads. I will probably do the swap sometime during March, I'll let the forum know how it all works out.
