OK, since people aren't following the link in my earlier post to read 3bar's comments I'll just quote it here:

Oh yeah, I've been stayin away from the swaybar thing. But, I'm feelin fired up tonight.

All you that bought an 04 have a rear sway bar that makes your car handle EXACTLY the same as as 03. It's a more efficient design for 04, with the bar inside the rear axle. If you could cut an 03 and 04 rear axle apart, you could see what I mean.

For all you that got an 03 bar on your 04, congrats. Now it handles pretty close to what a sports car should.

But the post below it reads

"Whoops, yep. Swap 02 for 03, and 03 for 04....

Keep forgetting my car is the second model year of Turbo..."

The only problem is that adding an 02 sway bar on the rear makes the Cruiser handle better meaning in corners flatter without any drawbacks! Someone is flinging the bull again!!

Bought a used 03 GT Turbo, don't see any rear sway bar, is there somewhere I can get build sheet on my car so I can go argue with the dealer to get one installed?

take your VIN to the parts or service dept and ask them to print it off.

I wish you luck, I took my original window sticker, ChRYsler service manual, and parts manual, and was basicly told to go fly a kite.
My sticker specificly said "rear stabilizer bar"
Oh yea, don't bother to call ChRYsler.

I got the same thing from my dealership when I brought mine in. That was back in Oct. 2002. Basically, DC put out a service bulletin letting their dealers know that regardless of what it says on your window sticker or print out, the GTs aren't supposed to have a sway bar. Chances are slim to none that you're gonna get a sway bar from the dealer.

My brother and I both got ours done, two different dealers. I think we caught them sleeping. I told mine while I was making the deal, needed that on or would not do the deal, the said no problem " it should be on there if the sticker says so". They ordered the parts and installed it no issue. But I think they learned after that they should not have done it, and ate cost, or ate it up front as soon as I said I needed it to do the deal.
