This is the strait stuff that Todd should have started with!
I appreciate his persistence, and his valid info on a problem we face with the narrow and too small wheels that come stock.

You are right Todd, and Stephen to move into real high performance we probably will need to do a system upgrade as opposed to a quickie caliper/disc swap.

Just picked up a mag recently that had an article on a 500 HP SRT, upgrade turbo,BOV,intercooler, etc, stage 1 (all add on, easier stuff), It could be very well worth it to keep the go and the stop balanced![8)]

Hello all,

I have the powerslot rotors installed on the front. Can any of the above caliper brands work with them? Or do you have to use the rotors that come with the calipers?

I'm wondering if there are any rear brake conversions for a base PT?

wyckoff chrysler has a disc conversion for drum brake pts
you can get slotted or drilled rotors for the rear too
not really worth the money except for looks because the rear only does 20-30% of the braking

I have the wilwoods. complete kit ready to go on a pt with stainless lines for around $650. very squeaky and i clean them with brake cleaner about once every 3 weeks. They really dont stop all that much better around town but honk them going 100 and your belt will lock and the car will hit 0 before the speedometer can drop. they still work with my abs brakes, i love them and they have even saved me from a ticket or two or three
any questions angermai@yahoo.com

When did you purchase them? I tried and the plant told me that a true GT setup was a couple months off.

They look great!

(I have a similar problem with the trade out drilled and slotted disc/ Green stuff pad upgrade; more squeal in soft trafic braking, but hellish stopping capability under speed.)[8)]

I shipped one of these with my four line kit to someone back east a couple of weeks ago. Is this it??

For the record; the difference from this kit (Wilwood) and the TCE/Wilwood is based on the caliper of choice and rotor options. Still for daily use this is probably ample for most of what PT'ers will put their car through. For the real track junkies you know the benefits of the parts I've spec'd on the car.

Actually, I've followed this thread for months now, post our occasional blow ups, and one thing that strikes me is the appearing lack of interest in the product. I suspect this was the basic reason why WW put it out to pasture, only now reviving it a bit due to its direct fit to the SRT4.

Todd,
This topic becomes an issue between 30 and 40k when the stock rotors crap out. This is the most oportune time to do something substantial. If I were able to buy your kit at the time to fit my stock wheels I would have (you remember the conversation).

We need to know that you have taken the time to assemble a product we all will need.

When my bling rotors wear, I too will come knocking.

(I would like to have 4 drilled and slotted rotors at that time!)[8)]

Todd, I agree with Kirby. I am in the market for new rotors and pads for my '03 GT. I want to cut down on the dust and improve the braking performance. But, my number one requirement is they have to fit inside the stock 17"x6" GT chrome wheels.

I need all four rotors and pads. What do you have that meets my needs.
