Default Polished stockers?

Has anyone tried polishing their stock GT wheels? I know you could do this on the old Neon R/T wheels with good results. Also, how much do you think a machine shop would charge to do something like that?

Several chrome plating companies will strip and chrome plate them for about $50-60/wheel. If you pay for labor to strip and polish the base wheel you will end up in the same range, and have MUCH more upkeep to maintain a bright looking wheel.[8)]
