Default Part 2/ Lowering

Today while I was detailing a car, one of our club member stopped by with his 2003 GT Turbo with recently installed Eibach front and reard sway bars and lowering springs on the back only. First of all let me say the care handles so much better with the bigger front sway bars and the independent one on the back. Even with the Eiback springs on the back, he still has the same larger gap in the front wheel well, just like mine. Here are my issues and concerns. Now that I have the gold line springs on,(rear) what should I do next. I don't like the fact the front is higher than the back, never thought this would be an issue when I bought the springs, Now I see I could of got a a different size spring. I think mine are 2". if I have to lower the front, wheat other issues will need to be address? This is driving me nutz.

Don't see why u don't lower the front also.
Either do the Goldlines in front, the drop'll be the same or less. It'll look more normal and probably perform a little better.
For the average drop, u don't have to, but i'd suggest correct camber.

Gary, as you and I discussed on the phone I have the same 2" drop GoldLines you have, but I also have the 1.5" drop GoldLines up front. The only issue I've had with these are the need to be more careful approaching certain driveways, parking bumpers, etc. The PT naturally sits high in the rear (rake) and doing the 1.5" front/2.0" rear really levels the car out. Take a look at some pix of my car at the link in my sig - on one page I have nice before/after comparison shots. I think you'll be happy with dropping the front end.

I'm considering the Eibach f/r sways as a future option, but the Tokico's are going on in the next couple of days. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys, you convinced me to do the front. check this out, (serves me justice for doing this AFTER the fact) I checked the price on Gold Line for the front> $159 plus ship/ Guess how much the BTG are for the whole set? $133.00 someone please shoot me. I hate to spend more money for one set then what both sets cost at BTG/ probaly should of done in the first place. I think when i get this done, I will stick to detailing. Gary

yes, front only. If you are going to do it, do it right. Even small camber errors can lead to wear.
Thats just my opinion, opinions will vary. Have it aligned too, if you haven't already.

Gary, get the Ingalls Engineering cambolts to assure alignment capability: http://www.ingallseng.com/cars/chrysler.html They only run $25 at the rice shops (same P# as Civics).

Got my alignment yesterday and technician played with these bolts as well as toe.

Mike, would you report your Tokico impresstions here: http://www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/...?TOPIC_ID=7106

I haven't driven a Turbo car, so I don't know if I'm the one to compare. I have 235/40/18 on 35mm offset. Clearance is absolutely not an issue. Having gone from the OEM 16s to 18s yesterday I do notice a slightly rougher ride. It doesn't bother me. I'm going to play with the air pressure and see.
