Default Question on shocks

I noticed Moss Motors sells Koni shocks, are these a good choice? will I notice a difference with new shocks? Gary

Gary,

Koni shocks are one of the best improvements you can do to the suspension. If you opt for the Sport shocks and struts (otherwise known as Koni Yellows), you can adjust their firmness by turning a dial (struts) or twisting the shock to adjust (rear). Be forwarned, you will have to cut the OEM strut housings in order to install the front struts. However, the benefits outweigh the *horror* of cutting metal, in my opinion.

I bought the Tokicos and although you cant adjust them, I found them to be a great improvement over stock. No cutting either. (Plus theyre only like $250)

I was going to do the rear only for now, can you change the ride adjustment without putting the car on a lift? Gary

Gary, I have the same Tokicos that SakiGT has although my car is not lowered as much as hers. This sort of answers your question to me on another thread - Springs Popped Out - and I highly recommend that you put new shocks on as well. Like SakiGT said, no need to cut or change anything up front with the new struts like the Koni's, although the Tokicos are not adjustable. Honestly, the improvement in ride quality with better shocks/struts is very noticeable and well worth the money. I think the Tokicos are a great value at around $250 for a full set. Do it.

Gary,

To adjust the rear Konis, you need to remove the shock from the car in order to turn the shock housing for the adjustment. You do not need a lift in order to do this.

The Koni's are lke $300 just for the rear, why are the Tonikos $250 for the front and rear? Am I missing something?

Here's the link Gary. http://www.tokicogasshocks.com I bought mine on eBay but I just the guys listing and he doesn't have any more for the PT. From the looks of things you can call the 800 number on the Tokico website and order directly from them. The item numbers you want are HB3195 Front & HE2950 Rear.
