Default Freedom Design Strut Bar

Got it from R&S, I think it lists at $115.
Same bar as NA, includes replacement bracket for solenoids and cruise

I was just looking at their site and was wondering what the one for $199 was that is just below the one that says "turbo"? They both say chrome.

That $115 price sounds like a great deal. Did you have to modify/cut anything oon the existing bracket on the car?

thanks

I think a few of us have been waiting to see if anyone had this bar installed. How do you like it?

The pictures of the bracket and the bar installed are posted here:

Just FYI: some sites say chrome, but the bar is actually polished stainless steel. Freedom Design is a popular strut bar for 5-speed owners (no need to relocate the clutch fluid container is the main reason).

Bar came with the new bracket, fairly easy install.
Had to alter the instructions a bit to get it in.
Thei instructions said to replace the bracket first then install the new bar, but the back nut on the strut bar is almost impossible to get to that way. I mounted the cruise and solenoids to the new bracket, installed the bar, then bolted the bracket back down. Took about an hour all together, BIG improvement in the front end.

BTW, the $199 bar from R&S is their 'Wildfire' bar. It's heavier and adjustable.
