If you fancy working your magic once more, here's a 1.6L VIN:

I'm thinking of buying this car (as I think I mentioned elsewhere) so it will be interesting to see the full spec, as well as to find out the spring info
No problem, I won't be able to get it until tomorrow.

You might want to look at the VIN label on this PT to find out what the curb weight of the total vehicle is compared to your '07.

You sure the VIN or engine size is correct?

This is from the Chrysler website and the Build Sheet says that the VIN you gave me, that PT has a 2.0L engine in it:

Looking at the Parts Catalog for your '01 & '07, they both have the same part number for the rear springs, fronts are different between the 2 years and most likely due to the different engines in each.
Sinbad likes this.

Hmmm.... I just double checked the number I gave you, and it's spot on - edit: it looks like either me, or the seller, or both don't know what we're talking about...

Anyhoooo... can we go for it on the VIN number I gave you please?

If it *IS* a 2.0L, it's not the end of the world, except I'll have to be a bit cagey and careful on the overheating problem it has - at worst it will be a head gasket (I don't think it is for reasons I won't bore you with) which is a whole different can of worms on a 2.0L compared to a 1.6 which is a lot easier because of the timing chain....

Rckstein,
Thanks so much for all that info, looks like alot of time spent!
Truly, your way would be the best for originalitysí sake. But then the dealer would be expecting you to order the OEM part from them; the costliest way to go about it.
Iím going to try lowering my tire pressures first. Sure will soften the ride, but handling will probly suffer, too.
