Default Any problems with stock tires...anyone...Bueller..

I rotated my stock tires 2 weeks ago and ended up with a shake in the wheel aftrwards. I went to the tire store that I always use for this stuff and had them balanced. Still shook so I took it back the next day to have it rechecked. The were zero'd out but they said that the passenger side had a bulge in the tread. You wouldn't see it but when they did a runout it showed up. They said the driver's side had a wobble in the runout side-to-side. Anyone else have any issues like this? It seems to be getting worse too.
Thanks

No problems, but read several posts like yours and decided to change out my OEM Goodyears for something I would feel confident with. I only had 8,500 miles on them. I usually go from the dealer to the tire shop and upgrade whenever I buy a new car. I fell for the advertising this time, you know big name, big advertising. I corrected that this morning. See my post under 'Lookin for tires', this section. Good luck.

I had many problems with my Stock Goodyear tires on my
1st 2001 PT Limited. If you went to the dealer, they said
it was the tires, if you went to Goodyear, they said it was
the alignment from the dealer. Eventually Gave up. Purchase
Michelins (Hydro Edge) Tires, and it was like night and day.
So much better of a drive/feel to the car with the Michlines.
Now have a 2004 New PT GT, but of course it came with the
crappy goodyears also. So far, I got rumbling in the back and
drifting to the right. Will start the whole tire thang again
when I go back for my 1st 3000 mile oil change next week.

Well yesterday I took the car to a dealer. They told me to take it to a Goodyear store. Goodyear tells me that "there is absolutely nothing wrong with our tires". Great, so today back to the dealership I go. Another day without my car. I really hate this ****ing jerking around you always get on **** like this. Anytime they can try to put it off on someone else they will and then the someone else throws it back on the first place. The customer is stuck in the middle. I am already expecting to get the car back with a note on the RO saying "could not duplicate problem" and I will have to then take the service manager for a drive to demonstrate the problem...and be without my car for ANOTHER day next week.

I am FUBAR'd! Just found out that both passenger side tires need to be replaced. WTF? $400 for (2) damn tires.

Any suggestions? I could use a little help[B)]

Yeah, spend about the same amount at Discount Tire and get *4* new ones.

400 bucks for 2 of those goodyears? Blah.

Yeah, think that's how I am leaning. I guess I am looking at the Yakahama ES100, but I am not really sure.

So, I went to Town Fair Tire (northeast place) because the will match any internet price plus give you a 30 day trial for which you can trade your tires if you don't like them.

Anywho, he had (4) of the Yokohama ES100 235x45x17 for $119. I thought this was a fair deal, so i decided to go there. When I got there, he asked if I were going to change them in the winter (new england winters aren't the best), I said "no, i thought these tires were snow rated". Turns out they are not and he says he wouldn't use them on his car in the snow.

Long story short, didn't get these tires or any tires. Now I have to rethink what kind of tires to get that are performance but can handle snow. [xx(]

Any suggestions?
