Let me get this straight. You are street racing and almost lost it trying to avoid another vehicle who wasn't and the other driver is the stupid one? You're lucky you only pissed your pants and didn't eat metal.
Basically, another vehicle was pulling into the street. I saw him pull up, never stopped, and just turn in. There were other vehicles in front of me, yet he still didn't stop for traffic. He had a stop, we had the right of way. I didn't see him until the last minute, becuase of the vehicles in front of me. I honked my horn, looked to my left, saw another vehicle from my left approaching quickly. I hit the pedal hard, went to the left lane, to avoid the stupid driver. I guess I could have hit him and it would have been his fault for not stopping and let his insurance pay for my medical expenses and car repairs.

I have the Eibach anti-sway bar kit along with the BTG strut tower brace and think the combo is fantastic. You'll think you're a race car driver when you dive into the corners at eye blurring speed. The combo is even better with the KW coilover kit!
COOL. How long have you driven with the Eiback anti-sway bars and the BTG strut tower brace?

I prefer not to lower my vehicle. Does anyone have both with factory shocks? Feedback?
I, too, have the Eibach front and rear bars, installed using the Eibach rear link kit, installed over the stock struts (car today only has 15,000 on it). Performance gain is immediate and markedly noticable, with much less body roll. They truely do put the 'GT' in the PT.

As for the BTG strut bar . . . it does look nice, kinda engine jewelry. Actual performance advantage is marginal. I'm confident that it yields some gain, but only when driven at close to the car's limit.

Many improvements tend to highlight some other vehicle 'shortcoming.' In the case of the sway bars, it is the tires. Better (stickier) tires are needed to take full advantage of the performance gains of the sway bars.

Also installed Eibach springs. They, too, improve your road performance, but do also contribute to a harsher ride than stock. Primary reason I installed the Eibachs to reduce the wheel-well gap, and reduce the rake. I don't find it annoying or bothersome, nor does my wife . . . and she is the primary driver of the car. Only other negative of the springs is to be more careful upon entering/exiting some driveways, and be aware of your reduced front fascia clearance when stopping before parking 'curbs.'

Thanks. Another reason why I don't want to lower it, is in case other people drive my vehicle. They may forget to take it slow on curves, speed bumps, etc. But it sounds that I can at least get some better handling with the sway bars and struts. Btter tires may have to wait for abit, since they only have about 4k on them. But at the rate that I light them up, it won't be soon before I replace them.

The drop isn't really that harsh or drastic.
Ride with springs alone is nice, but ultimately you're gonna need to upgrade your shocks, cause there will be much more suspension play.
I'm really happy with my car now...now have to get around to re-install Adam's UCP pipe.

I've had both of them on two different PT's, a GT and a N/A for about two years total (I traded my N/A PT for a GT last fall). I've probably driven about 15,000 miles between the two and in Michigan winters.

Thanks again everyone. I just installed my BTG strut braces. I drove around abit with one side not locked into the brace. Then I locked it in place and drove it around. I didn't notice much of a difference, but maybe I didn't drive around as hard as I wanted to. I should be getting my Eibach anti sway bars tomorrow, so I hope to get them installed by Thursday or Friday and check out the ride. I'm thinking the BTG struts may not be a significant notice, but partnered with anti sway bars, they are a match made in heaven.

BTW, I love the look of the BTGs. I put in some chrome covers (oil, trans dipstick, oil dipstick, etc.) and they looked like of dead, until the BTG was put in. Now my engine looks alive.

Oops. Sorry. I'll take some and get them posted. I put the chrome stuff on last night, but the BTG's were the last to be installed. By the time I test drove it, it was already dark, so the photos probably wouldn't turn out nice.
