Switching to eibach springs improves one area, but emphasizes the shortcomings in another:

The stock Tokico shocks are not up to the task of handling the rebound characteristics of a performance spring setup.

Performance Tokicos, or (my prefference) Koni adjustibles are a must do to balance out the increased rebound characteristics and shorter distances available to deal with road irregularities. I can't see the need for coil overs (and their high cost) unless you are racing and have a need to preload and adjust individual shock/springs for track performance.

Konis, and (I am sure) the performance Tokicos will bring the system back into balance at a savings of almost $1000 over the coil overs.
Coil Overs: $1200
Konis: $500
Tokico Performance: $300

If you want "the look" coil overs offer more, but for day to day driving, I think most PT owners would have a hard time seeing the $1000 difference.

P.S. - The Konis do stop "the bottoming out bump".

tthrift,
What, if anything, do you use from the stock front struts when you install the coil overs?

One plus with the coil overs is that you can adjust the ride height to your liking, your stuck with lowered springs and konis. I have the konis but I am starting to consider the coil overs since I do not like the stance the eibach's give my cruiser, still too high in the back.

hi

ok have about 600 miles on mopar stage two kit. the ride is alot frimer and alitte road senitive. the drop was 1 3/4 in the front & 2 in the rear. drove 500 miles down hwy 101 over the weekend & it was a very nice ride at 75to80mph. i would say this kit is for someone who wants more control with a nice stance. but not for the person that might need ground clearance. Isn't the ride height adjustable with the MoPar coil over kit(s)? That is pretty much the same drop as the eibach springs. You can not adjust it lower?

hi ptgtcb

nope with the stage two kit the drop in the front is preset to max, all you can do is rise it. as for the back it is just new springs no adjustments. maybe with the stage three kit there is more height adjustment.

but i will say the drop & handling are very improved, and they look great too. BUD

Darn, the rear is what I want to drop a little more. Do you have side pic with your suspension installed?
Thanks
