Default ? Best Tires ?

My 2003 GT, needs front tires ( backs look OK) I was also told by the dealer it would be a good in case I have work done by them due to the fact that, the factory rep uses that as a way to tell if the car was driven hard. so if I need to by tires I thought I would go to the source.. You Guys!!!!
1, should I buy 4 new tires
2, Would wider be better ( I do need to think NY snow)
3, $$$$
4, Like I said the backs are fine, could i put those in front and
place wider in back untill time for new.. then repeat?

THANKS Scott

I would replace with all for new ones, but keep the 2 good ones as spares.

I don't know if they would assume hard driving, but I would assume poor maintainence since you are supposed to rotate the tires every 5-6,000 miles (every other oil change).

I put Yoko ES100s (215 50) and have over 20,000 miles looking for about 35-40 before another set. This is a better tire than the suspension. It works great everywhere except snow.

Just my opinion.

you don"t want wider tires in the snow.you have less traction do to less weight on on the larger footprint. smaller print more weight .better traction
