Default GT Tire question

Has anyone gone to a "plus-zero" size tire yet? (215-45,17) (I decided to put summer tires on the GT.)
We do get snow in Calgary and I'm not the biggest fan of all-season tires, so I'll use the Goodyears for winter and am looking at the Yokohama AVS ES100 for summer. The guy at the tire shop suggested Plus-zero sizing for the better performance. Anyone done this?

Don

I'm thinking about it. But it may cause me to change my rims to get the efffect that I want. I'm looking to buy the Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP (215/45ZR17 and I hope that they will give me the effect that I want without my having to purchase new rims.

I'm on the second set of Firehawk SZ50s on my Mustang GT. I LOVE this tire. Dry traction is excellent, and wet traction is nearly as good as dry. It receives excellent reviews at the Tire Rack website.

The only reason I don't run this tire on all my cars is that they don't make it in 205/50-15! :-) I'm glad they make a size that should work on the PT Turbo.

The info for the Turbo GT is as follows:
Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP
Size:215/45-17. Price 147.00 at the Tire Rack

These will fit the Turbo rim. I am going to get them in about a week or so.

Check the "TireRack" website at the following for reviews and opinions about both. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...urer=Firestone

I guess we miss out on using the high perfromance one, because of all the "snow" that we get here in Calif...
