Thanks guys!
Mean Green thanks for the pics! That is oh so important in deciding, the ability to see the after. In the first pic it appears that the front is just a touch higher, is that because the way it is parked?
The front looks a touch higher because of the way I took the pic, also the driveway slops down more where the rear tires sit.

Mean Green, so you got more of a level look did you stay with the stock shocks?

However, do the tires still wear evenly???

On my Stealth the rear tires can't be lowered too much or you need to buy adjustable control arms which is another $400. So I need Ground Controls that can be adjusted so I don't go too low.

Plus, the guy who got the Drop Zone springs said his ride is softer....is it not supposed to be MORE stiff, like for more performance?

Thanks everyone for your input! I think I'll be going with the Eibach Pro Kit!

Spring kits like Eibach have different front/rear drops to CORRECT the dorky factory suspension "rake" as can be seen very well here: http://www.mooresmopars.com/GT-Cruis...ch-prokit.html

"Rake" is the wedge look of a car. From a styling standpoint, the PT designers have raked the roof due to the car's stadium seating layout. This is nice. What's not so nice is when the OEM 'practicality people' step in. They jack-up the rear of the vehicle so they can run a softer spring for driving comfort, yet allow for cargo loads w/o dragging the bumper. This is where the aftermarket steps in in creating specialty products - like spring kits.

I too have the Eibach drop. The 1.5 & 2.0 kits are designed to reduce suspension rake; which I prefer. In fact, my perfect setup is to have both front & rear fender lips have the SAME air gap to the tire thereby eliminating suspension rake. The Eibachs are very close to this.

So kgdptblue, I wouldn't be too concerned about not liking it (sans body kit and street demographics). Unlike the the bouncy bobbling Civics out there, the PTs stock shocks work well after a drop.

BTW, OurPTGT has a nice setup!

Also, you can put air lift bags in the rear springs to compensate for the reduced load capacity. Add air when you are carrying a heavy load.

I have them in the back of my ImpalaSS with Eibachs.

the eibach kit is a great kit, i ran that on my '01, and a bruiser kit made it rediculously low. BUT one suggestion for any drop kit, get some koni "yellows" they way out perform stock. But as far as stocks go with an eibacj drop kit, i was real impressed. Also, i believe out gt's come one inch lower than the N/A's stock. Therefore, any drop kit you see, unless specified for the gt, will drop one less inch than they say. Just keep that in mind.

excellent advise everyone! I think I'll save up and do the shocks and springs at the same time and save a little on the labor cost!

Actually there isn't a 1" difference. My wife's '01 and my GT both have Eibach Pro Kit springs and my GT is only 7/16" higher than her '01.
