Yes, the bar connects the top of the two front strut towers together. All cars flex. During aggressive driving, the top of the strut towers can shift due to the force exerted by the wheels pushing them side to side during cornering and to a lesser extent front to back during acceleration and heavy braking.

You will notice a more stable feel during aggressive driving when the strut towers are tied together. The effect should be even more noticable when the convertible comes out. I have owned two convertibles/roadsters and the cowl flexing is very visible just crossing a railroad track at low speeds.

To my knowledge, there is no current strut bar that fits the GT without any extra modding.

PT-Tuning says they are developing a GT strut bar now, and will release it soon.

I just noticed that CruiserMotorSports.com is saying they have a Freedom Design Brace for the Turbo. It's listed under "Chrome Accessories" not "Braces-Struts".

Anyone know anything about this bar? My guess would be that it's the same bar, only they provide you with alternate brackets to relocate the solenoids somewhere.

Must be some bracket they provide if that is the only difference since the price for the GT model is $180 instead of the $130 for the non-turbo model.

Okay - it's been 30 days - anybody tried to order the strut brace or intake for our GT's from PT Tuning yet? Is it soup yet?[]
