Default Is anyone using 18X7.5 w/42 offset?

I recently saw some nice chrome rims that were 18 X 7.5 with a 42mm offset. They were a great price, $549 for 4, but I wasn't sure a 42 offset would work. Anyone using this size rim? And with 225/40's or 235/40's?? Any pics would be great.
Thanks

Topless, If I'm not mistaken you need an offsett in the 36 to 38 range. I just going on what I use on my 2001.

I'm running a 19 x 8 with a 42mm offset with no problems. You can acutually run a 38 offset in the rear to kick it out a bit.. Kevin

Thanks for the info...
Turns out my convertible GT rims are 17X7, not 17X6 like the 4D, so I think I'm going with 225/45 or 235/45 on the stock rims. (chromed star 05's) I didn't realize they were 7" wide when I bought the car otherwise I would have already gooten rid of the badyears...

Topless,
How did you determine they are 7in? I wish I knew before I bought my Yokos. Next set will be 225s.

nj,
if you've got the GT convert, take off a wheel, clean up the backside of the spokes and look inside for the measurement
I found it there, 17X7-40 offset
