Default which tire size?

should i go with the 215/45r17 or the 215/50r17? the size difference is nit much (1/2") but would i get a little quicker handeling or better ride with one over the other?

If you are using stock GT wheels that are only 6" wide then you cant use the 45 series as they require 7" or bigger wheels. If you have wider wheels then by all means go to the 45 series maybe a 225/45. Remember 215mm is 215mm no matter what series you use. Just because you have a lower aspect ratio 45 vs 50 does NOT make the 215 tire any wider. Yes the lower aspect ratio gives you slightly better handling and a slightly harder ride and a little less prtection against pot hole damage to your wheel!!

You could put a 215/45 on the stock wheel but for the reasons above I would stick with the 50's
