Default Could someone do some measuring for me please?

I installed a set of H&R springs over the weekend but I forgot to measure floor to wheel well lip before I did. If someone could measure their GT at the back wheel from the floor up through the center of the wheel to the lip and let me know the measurment I would appreciate it. I need to figure how much to trim my bumpstop.

If anyone is interested, my measurements are 27" at the rear, 26" at the front and 4.5" clearance under the front lip.

Inferno Red GT, chrome wheels, chrome AMP fuel door, chrome side spears, PT Cruiser 3rd light diffuser, silencers removed from airbox...ain't this car fun?!?!?

Cal, just measured my GT. Yours is 1" lower than mine, front and back. Mine is 27" front and 28" rear with 5 1/8" clearance under the center of the front lip. My front end may sit slightly lower than stock due to the additional weight of frame mounted tow bar backets and Remco transmission pump that I had added to allow me to tow my AutoStick behind my motorhome.

How does the ride and handling compare with the standard GT springs?

2003 Almond GT AutoStick, body colored rear splash guards and hood struts, chrome gear shift, AC, and vent knobs.

The ride is of course stiffer but it corners MUCH better than stock. Ultimately I think I need to upgrade to an adjustable shock/strut because the stock units do not have enough rebound control for the stiffer springs. I know that I will be able to optimize ride and handling when I do this but I don't have hte $500 or so to buy the new ones and I hate to get rid of perfectly good stock units. I will be able to tell more once I get the stops trimmed thougn as I know that I am bumping off of the stops in the rear until I get them trimmed. Right now the stop is only sitting about an inch above the seat and that is not a lot of available travel.

Thanks for the info.

Oh, interesting idea you brought up too. I know that on most cars an auto trans weighs a lot more than a 5spd. I wonder if that make yours a little lower stock?
