Default Help on ordering sway bars

I was quoted $429 from my speed shop on the sway bar set (front and rear not installed eithernot sure of the brand) I thought I have heard people pay alot less, any help you can give me on where to purchase would be appreciated. Gary

I'm tossing over sway bars, too, but confess to being confused about whether I could just add a rear, how big to go, etc.
What brand/sizes was the quote for?
Here's another price:

Here's where I got mine.

The single bars listed DO NOT come with bushings, that is why there is a price difference
You will also need the rear install parts, try here.

Or just order them from your local dealership. They had my parts in 2 days.

Gary,

What brand of sway bars was the quote for?

If the bars come with the rear endlink install kit (since you do not have one), then the price is reasonable.

BTW, I have the Progress swaybars. I got them from Race and Street at Cruisin' Clarion 2 yrs ago. What a difference!

I got my rear 7/8" bar from Mach One Car Accssories and I got my rear install kit from shox.com for $69 plus tax and shipping which brought it to $80.04 and the bar cost $138 for a total delivered price of $213.04. I think I could have gotten the install kit cheaper at my dealer as I would not have to pay shipping but the Eibach kit looked better and also flashier to me. My mechanic gladly put the bar on for $60.00 and said it was an easy job as everything lined up and installed like it should.

The rear anti-sway bar along with the front strut bar really transformed my car. I would tell everyone to do what I did and I dont think anyone will complain. Smoother ride, no more tippy toeing over cross gutters, and much better cornering force and feel. What was DC thinking when they took the rear bar off in 2003??? I think their stock rear bar off their earlier cars is not quite up to the task as some have used it and said it did not do much!!

SteelBlue-
You just added a 7/8 rear bar and left the front stock bar? That's what I'm considering..[:I]

Don, my '03 GT had a front bar and no rear bar. The front bar was much larger that the one on my '01 and even larger that the Mopar Performance bars I already had so I just added the Mopar Performance rear and it was much better.
