Try Wycoff. I waited two months with a local vendor. The kits are always on back order and then they fill the orders with certain vendors. Wycoff had them back in stock before any one else.

Why will that piss him off? Just order the kit yourself so you get it your hands then make an appoinment to get it done. He is still going to charge you for the install but he won't get a chance to mark up the price. I always buy the parts myself and bring them to the shop to get them install when I need help. This is another way you can make sure the parts fit and best bang for buck.

Hey all,

I have been off the forum for a spell... Through a major mix up in ordering my sway bars and install kits last Fall, I ended up with a second Eibach kit to install the rear bar on a PT that did not come with a factory bar. $75 and shipping and it can be yours and out of my garage...

Hey Jim I'm all over that. $75 and shipping pays for what exactly. I'm looking for a rear sway bar. So what your selling is just the Eibach kit to install the rear bar, but not the sway bar itself, correct? How much is the kit to begin with? And if it's a good deal when could you send it to me.

Thanks,

Marc

Marc,

My '03 GT was one of those with the rear sway bar on the window sticker and not on the car. I bought the F&R sway bar kit last year, then discovered that I could only install the front bar. The Kit to install the rear bar was a separate item. So I ordered that then I was sent a second sway bar set. I sent that back and reordered the hardware kit a second time then went through all the run-a-round with it on back order, bla, bla, bla. All that took about 5 months and about 50 calls... I finally went through Wycoff and paid something like $115 with shipping, etc. because they had it in stock and it showed up in two days. The original order was supposedly cancelled but ended up being shipped to me a couple of months later anyway. So long story short is that I ended up with a second kit. I thought I could pass it on to someone in our local PT club but I never followed up on it. You can check around for the best price on a kit but if it is not in stock, then it does'nt really matter. I have seen other theads on this forum that the price is running $75-$90. I was moving some stuff around the garage last week and saw the box so I thought I would check the forum again to see if someone could use it. The bushings supplied with the kit are for the Eibach rear bar. I'm not sure if that bar diameter is the same as what is offered by Chrysler. I went with the Eibach set and removed the factory front bar because I figured a matched set would be better than mixing components. I installed a strut tower bar at the same time and noticed a marked improvement in the handling. Let me know what your Zip code is and I can figure shipping costs. I can put it in the mail as soon as you can send a money order.

That Eiback kit is designed and bushed for a rear 22mm or 7/8" bar. Their install kit number is 2860.320HKR. I paid $80 delivered for the install kit and paid $138 delivered for the actual bar. Let me tell you with the rear bar and the front strut bar installed the handling improvement is staggering.
