i love mine, no problems at all, can't imagine
cracking the bar itself, must have been one of the rear
up-links, they both have welded ends.

if you need a pic of the rear install, e-mail me
and i will send you a pic, the instructions are short on pics
and it's possible to waste time putting some stuff on backwards.

also used the stock-gt end-bushing-sets with the e-bach front bar.
felt the e-bach sets where not as tight as the stock set-up.

I was told that the failure was the hollow link and that the DC parts are solid. I have no persaonal evidence of either statement being true.

A metallic clicking noise began when going over bumps. Looked in back, and one of the rear sway bar axle clips was completely broken off. Urethane 'D' bushing (one that fits in now-broken clip) is MIA. Bolt still in place, firmly holding a bit of steel left from the 'C' clip. Uninstalled the entire rear sway assembly . . . Eibach endlinks are fine, as is the rest of the assembly. Did notice the drivers-side end-link bolt (to body) was just a bit loose, so removed it and reinstalled with a bit of Loc-Tite.

Waiting to contact Eibach (and retailer that I purchased bars and install kit back in '03) on Monday . . . hope they can simply ship me a new bracket and bushing.

On my '02, I had the stock sway bar break - near an end where it's stamped. I attribute it to a pothole taht was bad enough to crack a rim!
I have heard of grief with the Eibach maounting kit for PTs that never had sway bars...[:I]

No problem with the install . . . in fact the Eibach (rear) kit made it quite easy. Disappointed in the axle bracket . . .

According to Eibach, they have no way to simply replace the broken parts. They want me to send then ALL the install kit, and they will send me a new one. Gotta process Return Authorization paperwork through place I purchased from (TruckPerformance). Two weeks plus to get it all handled.

That is not true! They shorted me two bushings in my install kit and I just picked up the bushings at shipping!

Thanks steelbluegt . . . that is all I asked them to do. Just wanted a new axle bracket, one axle bracket bushing, and one endlink bushing. In fact, I asked twice if they could send just those pieces

As for picking it up at shipping, if you are in the vicinity of Eibach (Goleta, CA) or TruckPerformance (Irvine, CA) I guess that would be great. Bit of a commute from Portland, OR though.

If I end up with complete rear install kit, I WILL use ALL the new parts upon reinstalling . . . including bushings. I'll gladly send them my dirty, lubricated old links and rubber.

[xx(] Annoying, I agree . . . but stuff happens.

Received a voicemail from Eibach Tech services that they have UPS'ed a complete rear install kit to me, and they don't want my defective or old parts back. I'll have a few spare parts for future breaks?!? [:0]

All in all, personnel at both TruckPerformance and Eibach have been good to work with. Would still highly recommend Eibach products, and continue to be v-e-r-y satisfied customer . . . even when stuff breaks . . . 'cause they stand behind their product. [^]
