I've posted before that 3" DP do work.

Just one thing though, the PCM does not monitor anything after the turbo, so it's not adjusting anything, the benefits come from the unrestricted flow of gases.
This seems to be the first Plug and Play unit though. And the PCM does use the O2 sensors located after the turbo. Not sure if that is what you meant though.

REF - younotintopunctuation LOL

I don't want to make any statements that Scott at Maxxfab has to back up, but this is my opinion: I believe his PT downpipe will work for any PT 2.5" cat-back system. It should be long enough, because it's actually longer than the stock PT downpipe to eliminate the 2.25" transition in the cat-back part. Just make sure there's not some extra long 2.25" transition in the Trubenz - like more than 3 inches. I needed to cut 4 inches off the Borla for perfect fit. You also need to confirm whether the outside diameter of the Trubenz system is the same as the Borla. I believe that the pipe diameter is expressed in outside diameter measurements - so I think Scott's downpipe would work on any 2.5" OD cat-back system (again my opinion). It is plug and play for the PT, but of course you still need to cut off the cat-back system to remove the 2.25" transition.

johnM didn't know I had to be an english major to drive my PT , but since my post has been flagged by an perfectionist I will try to use more puncuation LOL[:I]

now that I looked at the pic a little closer I see it's a special clamp so as they say a pic is worth a thousand words. and since its longer than a stock down pipe I should be fine.Since the trubendz system has the resonator in the long pipe after the cat I didn't want to get into any fubars.

The only thing the PCM uses the downstream 02 sensor for is comparing the air with the upstream sensor to determine if your cat is working properly or not, that's why you get a CEL if you use a racepipe.

What I meant is that the PCM does not know you did something in that area, it just doesn't care about anything that happens after the turbo.

REF - I looked at the picture of the Trubendz system again after you pointed out that there was a resonator behind the cat in their system. I don't think that Scottmech's downpipe will work with this system because the resonator is immediately behind the 2.25" transition section. In other words there is no 2.5" pipe before the resonator to connect with the 2.5" part of the downpipe.

How would this kit work with the BTG duals? I think they are only 2.25". I would like to increase the downpipe size, even if the duals end up being a restriction. It would still be an improvement, no?

well i talked to josh today about system i ordered and the resonator has a 2.25 opening at cat side and a 2.5 opening at rear.the system i'm getting is exact replacement for stock down pipe so it will be plug and play. now me thinks that anything will let my bus breath easier than the stock exhaust, the trubendz has a free flow resonator josh said you can look right thru it and a free flow muffler. so I guess this is as good as it gets for me . will i see a differance? I don't know but it has got to let the engine breath a little easier. by the way the customer service at trubendz seems really great, he even told me if i do not want the resonator he would ship me a new solid pipe from cat to axel for only shipping charges.
