Hello! The debate has been going on for quite sometime between LED's and Neon...I have always preferred neon over led's because I like the even flow of light and I also like the brightness of neon over led's...Led's are popular right now due to the fact that they can produce different effects, but I have seen led's try to make an impact in the neon sign industry and have watched them fail time and time again for different reasons but mainly due to dimming in a short time. My accent neon is designed like a underbody neon kit, meaning the tubes are powered up by a dedicated single transformer. Although this makes for a more expensive accent lighting option compared to the cheaper low cost, low power kits, it is the best for overall light output and reliability. As far as installing my neon kit compared to other accent kits, if you have tubes with the "built in" electronic transformers, you have a red power wire and a black ground wire to hook up, or a cigarette lighter plug hookup...pretty simple but usually cannot be compared to a single transformer setup. My 2-tube accent kit , say for under dash lighting, has two tubes encased in acrylic, and comes with a small high volt single transformer which will allow you to add tubes if you like, say for under seats, at a later time. The tubes wire directly to the transformer just like an undercar kit. The transformer has a red power wire and a ground...Simple but very effective...Sorry for the long message but again I got carried away! LOL...Take care...
