Question The new guy...

Just saying hello to everyone

I bought a 2002 PT Cruiser yesterday, it has 74,000 miles on it. I believe its a regular cruiser not a turbo. Anyway, as far as maintenance, any recommendations? I think next week I'll go have the oil changed, transmission serviced maybe, radiator flushed maybe, tune up maybe...basically I'll have it checked out to see what all it needs.

I've never drove a pt cruiser before, but I am seriously impressed. This car is loaded and it has everything

Thanks for any suggestions or comments

Thanks....well one thing I want to replace are the headlight lense, they have the typcial uv yellowish fade on them. Do you know where I can get a good clear pair or colored maybe? Also how do they come out? I noticed what looked like two holes, I'm assuming those are screws to take out and the headlight comes out that way maybe?

Thanks,
David

but you shouldn't waste your money on buying new assyblies, you should just de-fog them. Check this out. It's from our good buddy Don who's currently away for a while How to: Fully Restore your Headlights.

Thumbs up Re: The new guy...

welcome to the forum ,at 74000 miles you are not to far away from your timing belt change. Chrysler recommends it around 10000 miles so since your in that area of the timing belt its recommended you change the water pump and pulleys insteade of coming back later and doing it
