Default Smurf"s here

Ok, so im new to the Pt crusier game but not car forums or car clubs.
I just bought a 2005 turbo PT. I have no clue what this car can do or capable of, so hence my being here.
I bought the car for $2500 with 38K miles and its been WELL taken care of.

I have 2 questions:
1) which version of the car do i have?
2) what can I do to it for better performance without breaking the bank.

Thanks,
-Smurf-

Yours is a 2nd gen, thats all i can tell you without pics.

Seeing as its a turbo

Stage 1 PCM
Mass flow fuel Injectors
Exhaust and intake work.

That should keep the $$ low but give you some more performance.

If you're looking for massive performance.......well your SOL. Pt's are not sports cars lol

Second gen cruiser wasn't mfg until 06-10. You have a 1st gen which will make it a lot easier to find parts and mods.

Cool, Thanks for the info. Would the same mods mentioned be of use to me or not since I have the 1st gen?

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.

You didn't say it was a gt. if its not then probably a turbo lite (180 hp) a stage 1 PCM would bump you to about 250 hp for about 400.00. google FWD PERFORMANCE spring Texas for the info. That would the cheapest and easiest unless yours is Gt
