Default Vanilla Bean

Want to thank you all for this website. As a home mechanic enthusiast and 2 20 year old daughters with cars that can be worked on...I find these websites to be invaluable!

My daughter, after her 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee got totaled from a rear ending, found herself in love with PT Cruisers when car shopping. She found a great deal on a 2006 touring, with 110K miles on it and a full notebook of service records! And yes the timing belt and water pump were done at 90K.

She loves it even though she's barely 20 and I teased her about the blue hairs who drive these! (no offense to you all!)

I have done a few things that needed to be done...new stereo, coolant flush, thermostat replacement, new headlights and some trim pieces. Going to do the transmission pan/gasket and filter replacement this weekend. I have the Chiltons...

Wanted to just introduce and thank you all for a great website!

Welcome !

I fell in love with these cars Day 1 almost 16 years ago. After I drove my Mustang 200K miles and had 2 kids, it was time for a bigger car. And I knew THAT was a PT Cruiser. The rest is history...

Enjoy your daughter's car !

Welcome to the forum!

I've loved these since they first came out, and just bought my first one last June. Loving it!
