Default New PT Owner from WI

I just picked up this 2002 Limited Edition on 12/2/16 and found this site doing some research on it. Lots of good information here. I bought it for $700.00 and other than a few minor things it's in great shape with 148,000 miles. The day I brought it home I replaced the left front wheel bearing which was so bad it came apart when I pressed it out of the knuckle.

I was really surprised at how well the car runs/drives and how comfortable it is on my hour commute to work.

Welcome to the forum. Good looking PT and a hell of a deal! Do you know if the timing belt has been replaced? 100,000 miles should have been replaced. If not, then be aware it's a pretty big job. Over $1,000 dollars at most shops. You can do it yourself, if you're a competent mechanic.

As far as I know the timing belt has not been changed. In my younger years I was a mechanic and still do my own work. I have plans on changing the timing belt sometime in the future. I'll replacing the shocks and struts as well.
