Default Howdy

I've recently bought my daughter a 2005 GT Convertible as her first car and she's thrilled....me too, this thing is a blast to drive. Thankfully we've had some pretty decent weather in the DFW area.

Overall it's in good shape but I do see a few projects on the horizon. Last weekend was new tires and some worn out suspension parts. This weekend will be new headlights, plugs and wires. After that, since it's getting up there in miles, I'm going to take care of some items bound to go sooner than later....belts, water pump, fan etc. Fun, fun, fun.

Eric

Welcome.

If the mileage on your car is 90-120 and you don't know for sure if the Timing Belt has been replaced you might make it a priority item. Along with it you should replace the water pump, cam seals, tensioner, and the crankshaft seal. Also inspect the front motor mount for tears in the insulator and replace if necessary.

I'm waiting on a steal convertible myself haha.

Welcome to the forum. We all have to take care of our baby girls. Luckily for me, mine isn't the least bit interested in driving. And she's 22!

I find it ironic that the colors red, white, and blue stand for freedom until they are flashing behind you.
