Welcome to the forum.

It's gonna be hard to find a lot of the modifications that were popular back in the main days of the PT. But they do pop up once in a while used. I'd keep some spare change laying around to snag up parts as they become available.

Thanks yíall.
I think Iím all caught up on the the runnability issues (I got screwed on this carólong depressing story). Every repair has been an upgrade.
Styling and appearance stuff isnít even on the back burner: itís still in the freezer! (rat rod?) Reliability and practical performance is what Iím after. When I had to replace the engine and computer I advanced the timing and leaned it out a bit. With the holes in the muffler, it sounds like a stroker and is definitely giving me more than the original 140hp. I wonít win many red light drags, but itís a pretty impressive sleeper. And I get more mpg.
Of course I have a wish list. I want to convert to E85 not only to save a little bit of money, but on principle. I want shorter 2nd and taller 5th gears. I want stiffer suspension without lowering the car (strut tower braces)? And without ABS or Traction Control (?!) I need stickier tires (suggestions?)

Here is one of my PTs. I was introduced to the PT very early on. My parents bought one the very first year that they came out. They have almost owned one every year since. I have seemed to inherit the bug.

Welcome to the forum

Even though you joined the forum 12/16, you never created an intro post.

The forum has experienced some problems with new members being able to join, since the forum moderator recently passed away and the forum owner doesn't seem to check in on the forum.

So since you're about the closest that the forum has to being a "new member" please go to Welcome New PT Cruiser Members - PT Cruiser Forum, and create an intro thread, telling us a little about yourself and your 2 PT's.

Welcome from Okieland!

What's a paper catalog???

When you get to the point of looking for specific parts, post in the appropriate Forum.
There are different good sources, for different type parts.
Some good stuff; some, not so much.
We can chime in then.
