Nice to meet you! Welcome! Buy it!! One common thing to quickly look at would be the control arm bushings. See if they look OK or are worn out. They can be replaced. I would just take a good look underneath and look at the K-frame and rocker panels for rust.

But, then again, I live in Upstate New York near Lake Ontario where we get LOTS of snow and the roads are always heavily salted in the winter. So we ALWAYS check for rusted out areas first.

Well you will be pleased to know I have bought the PT vert, So you have a new member here, I am picking her up Tuesday, so be ready for lots of questions and requests for advice. I also have a 2000 Nissan Terrano 4x4, and have been on the UK Nissan 4X4 owners club forum for quite a few years now, so I know how helpful and friendly these sites can be. Looking forward to getting to know you all.
My first question is: The vert has alloy wheels with chrome covers over the top.
Is this standard, as they are chrisler covers, the alloys underneath are in a bit of a state, so do you think they were put on to cover them for this reason ?
And one is missing can you get aftermarket replacements

I will post some pic's as soon as I get her home
Gkon and Carnut like this.

Welcome to the Forum and congrarts on your "new" PT Cruiser.

With your dual interest in PTs and Nissans you might be interested in a photo of a Datsun SRL 311 2000 cc Roadster I did a frame up restoration on. It did fairly well in a Walter Mitty race preforming on one stretch at 167mph. It's your Nissan's great grandfather.

Hands down, except for SOOO BIG it was the funnest car I've ever driven. In many respects like speed, handling, bugs in teeth, and the seat of the pant driving that only a fully preforming sports car like this can give you SOOO BIG can't match it.

But now with those days long behind me, SOOO BIG'd be hard to replace.

Happy PTin', ptprice

Pardon the goop on the photo.
