Going Wild in San Diego -- PT Cruiser Owners Club Event
All PT Cruisers are Welcome

April 27 - 30


The show site is on the peninsula to the left, right behind Shoreline Village on San Diego Bay.


It is a super place for a show. For those who'd like to shop and eat in a restaurant, Shoreline Village is right next to the park. From the park there's a great view of San Diego Bay and the Coronodo Bridge as well as a large marina full of beautiful yachts and the San Diego Skyline on the other side. Pam and I have been to this show for the past two years and think its fantastic. As for the cost people can go to the PTOC site at http://www.ptownersclub.com/sd2006/ to check it out.

Event Schedule -----

Thursday 4-27-06 – Registration and FREE Cocktail Party with Hot and Cold hors d'oeuvres,Music, and Drawings. (No host bar).

Friday 4-28-06 – POKER RUN! WOW! We are going to do something different this year. Watch for details!! It's going to be a blast! Dash plaque for all cars attending. Private Party and Buffet Dinner at the World Famous San Diego ZOO! Private Bus Tour of the ZOO and Private presentations by Animal Trainers that will bring out koalas, snakes, reptiles, birds, and either and exotic cat or wolf. Many of the presentations will include audience participation. WE ARE REALLY GOING WILD!

Saturday 4-29-06 – Show and shine car show and evening light Show – on the GRASS at the bay surrounded by Sea Port Village, Big Yachts, and the San Diego Bay. Imagine a picture of you and your PT Cruiser with the Coronado Bridge and the Bay in the background. That night at the park will be a spectacular Light Show and Parade around the park.

Raffle prizes – Voting – 50/50 charity – Lots of camaraderie – Trophies.

Sunday 4-30-06 – Closing ceremony/awards/drawings/optional hot buffet breakfast.

I have gone to this show the last 2 years.. always a really great event.. last year no rain so was better in ways.. Where you park is on rolling grass hills.. and the surroundings are really nice.. great show..

I will defiantly be there again this year..

We have a big announcement to make. The world famous band Sha Na Na has a new PT Cruiser song that will be on their new album. They are going to have their video crew at the event on Saturday during the car show and film for their new video. This is your chance to be famous. We will need a release by all that are in the video.

We will have TV, press, and radio coverage at the event so come with a big smile!

Then at the end of the day Sha Na Na is going to perform for all attending and do a concert for us!

There is no charge for all registered for the convention.

They appeared at Woodstock, performed regularly at the Fillmore East, had their own TV variety show, and were featured in the movie "Grease" - and most of 'em got degrees from Columbia University too. Sha Na Na has made vintage rock 'n roll their own, and they still perform for hep cats and hippies alike.

The Latest News


WoW! Just a little less than a month away! Things are really shaping up for a great event this year. We are truly an international event with attendees from over 12 states, Canada, and yes Australia. [^]

If you are planning to stay at the Host Hotel, The Red Lion Hanalei you need to call immediately. The rooms are almost all gone. Remember for all those staying at the host hotel, parking is included.

The World Famous San Diego Zoo is going to be a great part of the event. The time will be 6-11 pm on Friday. When you enter the zoo you will be greeted by a Zoo staff and one of our staff. Then you will be directed to an expanded bus tour of the Zoo and animals for your enjoyment. Once the tour is complete you will be going to our private area where a great Buffet dinner in a heated tent and special animal presentations will be waiting. Dinner will be served until 9pm so don’t worry about food. There will be plenty. The Koala presentation will be inside the tent and the other two will be outside in our private area. The animal presentation will be great photo ops so bring your cameras and we will have a photographer there. If you haven’t signed up for the Zoo you need to for we have to give our head counts.

Don’t forget about the car show on Saturday.[8D] Yes it is on the grass surrounded by the beautiful San Diego bay with the Coronado Bridge over looking us. The fabulous SHA NA NA band will be there filming for their new PT Cruiser Video and then around 3pm that day they will perform live a concert for all attending. We will also have the Prowler club in attendance as our guest and they will also be the car show judges.
We have lots of vendors for your pleasure and some great goody bags for all that are registered.

Big announcement this year is that we will have a video produced of the entire event and ready for you to purchase.

I will have a sick convertable in front of my booth this year.. The PT was at the show last year and already looked bad azz in my opinion then he put a lot more goodies on it.. (Owner Rubin)...

This will be that last date to get the introductory price on my brand new VAK V5 intake and charge pipe system.. (Somewhat limited supply if you want a specific finish on the pipes let me know soon to make sure I hold that or ship it to you for the show)

I have had a few people ask me what time the show starts.. I didnt want to put out wrong infomation if someone could post up that would be great.. ( thought last year was 10am ).. maybe you could post up what recomended time to roll in especially if you want to park next to someone or a group of people..

[|)]Going Wild in San Diego update!


Wow! Only 16 days till the big event. The staff is working hard it’s all looking great.

We now have reached the same car count as last year and still growing.

We are going to have a fun filled exciting event. A lot of you want times posted and here it is. You will also receive a program package with times in your goody bags at registration.



Thursday April 27th: Registration will open 2:00-5:00 pm at the Host Hotel (Red Lion Hanalei in Hotel Circle off the 8 and 5 freeways 2270 Hotel Circle North, San Diego) We will be in the Pavilion out back same as last year. Free Cocktail party and registration will be from 6:30pm- 9:00pm. We will have a free raffle for all those attending. There will be a DJ from 7-9pm, Hot and Cold Hors d’oeuvres, and a no host bar. Dancin’ Jer is coming to dance with all the ladies. The Cocktail party will be in the Pavilion.



Friday April 28th: The poker run starts between 9am-10am and ends at 3pm. Registration will be open from 8am-10am in the boat launch parking lot next to Fiesta Island and Sea World. There will be a map in your registration package. We have an all new route and some exciting games at some of the stops. It’s going to be fun!

The San Diego Zoo ( 2920 Zoo Dr, San Diego ) private party will be from 6:00pm- 11pm. It’s going to be a WILD experience and a map to the Zoo will be in your registration package. You must be on time or you will miss the private bus tour of the Zoo.



Saturday April 29th: The Big Car show and concert! ( Embarcadero Park behind Sea Port Village on the San Diego Harbor and Bay 849 West Harbor Blvd, San Diego)The show will be from 10:00 am- 4:00pm and then a light show from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

We will be starting to park cars at 8:00am that morning and must keep the entrance to the park clear for traffic.

We will have Dave Stall live radio talk show and interviews, DJ, Plenty of Car and Food vendors, and of course Sha Na Na will be there with their Video crew filming for the new music video and PT Cruiser song.

Then around 3:00pm Sha Na Na will put on a live concert for over an hour for all of us.

This is going to be a fun filled day and one you don’t want to miss.



Sunday April 30th: The awards Grand Prize breakfast. 8:00am- 9:am for breakfast and 9:00am-11:00am for awards and raffles. Yes, once again we will have the winning cars drive in front of the podium to receive their awards.



In your registration package will be a complete and more detailed program with maps to all events and the poker run. Come and Enjoy!!!
