Details: This will be a repeat L.A. Cruise, which is back due to popular demand! We will try and allow a little more time this go-around for shopping (the holidays are coming) and our hike at Nojoqui Falls Park, so more people will be able to enjoy it. A special activity in town that weekend is the "Vaquero Show & Sale"-- Western and Cowboy Antiques and Collectibles. It will be featuring noted Artisans and Cowboy art. Also, Western memorabilia, including silver bits, spurs, saddles and braided rawhide. (For More Info on the Vaquero Show/Sale: (805) 688-7889). If you can’t join me in Santa Monica, then connect up with others in your area and travel in your own groups to Ventura, where we will have a meeting spot. We will leave Santa Monica at 9:00am, so plan on being at the parking lot by Carrow’s Restaurant and the Coffee Bean (3150 Ocean Park, Santa Monica, CA 90405) by 8:30am to check in and get fueled up for the coastal ride! After we leave the Solvang area, I will stop by the Santa Barbara marina again for dinner. I am not planning on a group location, due to needing to pre-commit money and a headcount, so you will select among the several very nice places there to group up with your friends and have a nice time before we say good-bye!

How long of a drive is that trip?

The distance depends on where you're coming from. It should take those who start in Santa Monica about three hours to get to Solvang. The cruise is all day and into the evening. I would estimate that those returning to Santa Monica would be there by 9:00 P.M.[8D]

That sounds awesome! My wife and I haven't been back to Solvang since our honeymoon... I think I sense a road trip. Thanks for the info. Do you know if there are any groups setting up deals for hotels?
