Default Granada Hills, CA Christmas Parade -- Dec. 7th.

I just got the following email about the parade. Pam and I will be there with both of our PT Cruisers. Maybe we'll see some of you there.

Happy Holidays!

The 20th Annual Granada Hills Holiday Parade is Sunday
December 7th 2003, as of 11/30/03 we have 29 Cruisers
who have RSVP'd.
Please plan to arrive around 10:30am to Check-in with
Either Joleen (Bosch) or Chuck (Shades) to get your
Name Badge, Krispie Kremes, Goodie Bag with Official
Parade Patch, Raffle Tickets and Decorate Your
Cruisers!
The Parade is set to Start at 1:30pm this year. So we
have a little more time than in the past to Decorate,
Take Photos, Meet n Greet, Party and Play ETC...

There may be a "Best DECORATED Cruiser" award This
Year! I have not figured out yet how we will judge
this and who will be judging but Do your best
to work with this years theme "HOLIDAYS OF THE FUTURE"
Santa Hats are Fine, but they ask that nobody
dress like Santa, as there is only One Santa Claus and
he will arrive at the end of this Parade!

This Year We will change things up with our Driving
pattern, I will assign every car a Number
and we will line-up into rows of 3 like in the past,
only When we start the parade we will break off
into single file and snake through the 2 miles of the
parade route, So know who you will be following.
This should give the crowd a chance to see every car
in our group from all angles as well as slow us
down a bit, last year they said we went too fast.
There are 2 center islands in the middle of the
street near the end of the parade that were not there
last year. Honk Your Horns Flash your Lights
and wave to the Crowds! Please No burn outs! No
Tossing anything from the Cars.

Anyone with a Good Sound system is encouraged to play
some Futuristic Christmas Music.. Jetson??

After we finish the Parade we usually undecorate our
Cruisers by Granada Hills High School. Since we are
leading the Parade we have a Chance to watch the rest
of the Parade so bring your chairs and find a spot to
park and enjoy the show!
Granada Hills High School will be where the Awards are
Presented around 4-4:30. We have won (2) first place
"Best Car Club" Awards over the last 2 years, It would
be nice to threepeat! Boy will the Mustang Owners hate
us if that happens! heh heh heh.

Gathering Point is on Chatsworth St (Facing WEST).
Between Havenhurst and Balboa in Granada Hills, by
petit park. RESTROOMS ARE LOCATED AT PETIT PARK.
