Bought my 2004 inferno red PT Cruiser a few hours ago. Wow is it cool. at age 60 I finally got the 1950s looking hot rod I never got in my first childhood. Looking forward to taking a nice long ride soon. I was told I should now get a surf board and put it on top. Can you get beach boys records on CD?

Hi Robert,
Welcome to the forums. I fully understand your delight in finally getting that 1950s looking hot rod you never got in your first childhood. That's exactly how I feel with mine. Be careful, the mod bug may strike at any time. ![]() You didn't say where you live. If you're in Southern California I can help you find some groups so that you can have even more fun with your Cruiser. We have some great PT Cruiser owners here in Southern California and many events to pick from.[|)] Yes, you can get Beach Boys recordings on CD and they sound fantastic!

Hi Basset hound
I live in Joshua Tree, California. Thats the town adjacent to the national park of the same name. I am between Yucca Valley and the 29 palms marine base on highway 62. (much closer to yucca Valley. Thanks for the offer of suggesting some groups in my area. Robert |

Robert,
I'm not sure if this will help. There is a group in the Palm Springs area. The director of the group is J.R. Cobb (psptcruisers@aol.com). He's a real nice guy. They're a very active group with several cruises a year and other events. Here's their web site URL: http://hometown.aol.com/psptcruisers...page/auto.html If you get in touch with J.R. tell him that I sent you. Maybe I'll see you at a Southern California Event.[|)] BTW --- Many of us cruise over to the Phoenix area in January for the Phoenix Super Cruise. This year it's January 23-25. A group cruises over on Friday and cruises home Sunday afternoon. There will also be a big event, Cruisin San Diego, in San Diego April 15 - 18. You can chack out these plus many more events at http://www.ptownersclub.com/. The site has some forums as well. It has both member and nonmember forums. Many of the Southern California events are listed there.

Robert, if this is a mid-life crisis we'll both live to 120! I just got my inferno red PT/GT last week. The 405 and 22 won't be the same again.[8)

Uh oh...do I see a pattern here? I am 50 and have a red PT GT. All I can say is wait till you get a chance to open it up on a trip somewhere.
