i was kind of wondering how difficult it would be to call in and pay the $35... ie some BS like"so and so is in the hospital i would like to pay this to keep the site online"

...or if the site could be copied with something like HTTrack and just snatch the domain name when it expires?..or create such a similar name that google corrects it, like ptcruiserlink.com?

I have been talking to a few long time friends and members for the last few months now and we all got updated on our email address and other means of communication ....just in case.

Keeping the site going wouldn't not cost much. If someone had admin rights, I could have my brother-in-law migrate the whole thing over to another domain. It would only cost a few hundred a year to keep her up and running. But it would not be possible without admin rights.

I really wish someone could contact the owner. I've even tried on other forums owned by the same guy. And I've gotten no response. But I'm sure if we all put our heads together, somebody would eventually contact someone that might help us.

I think there are enough other forums out there for this type of stuff political stuff. It seems better that here we can enjoy a connection to one another through our mutual love of PT Cruisers. There's all kinds of ways to have great common experiences and friendships with other folks without highlighting our political differences. Don't let all this nonsense take away your joy. There's still a table and a glass for you here with your friends.
