In theroy the GT has a slightly better performance suspendsion than the other models. As far as how much better I am not sure. I do know some people than have installed GT springs on their base PT's & said they liked them.

Classic soft, Limited comfortable, Touring slightly stiff, GT stiff to most made for a sporty feel. Its really your own choice. If you were able to get a set cheap then go for it.

Well, for '05 the Touring does not have the Touring Suspension !!
You can go with GT springs, or, in between, spings from the Limited Edition, which has the touring suspension, or earlier year Touring Springs. Quite sure there are only 3 springs - base, touring & GT.
The Limited Edition has the Touring springs, the Touring Edition had Toruing springs until '05.

Well, On my window sticker it says it has "Touring Suspension" but I know that's a joke. The 2005 Touring is really the 2004 Classic with power mirrors.I can get a set of used GT springs for $70.00.Should I get them and give a try?

If you can change them out yourself, it would probably we worthwhile. If you can't, the cost of labor would make it uneconomical.

You would probably get more bang for your buck from heavier sway bars (front and rear).
