hmmm interesting, when the time comes, can't I just get the same size tire with a different type of stance, like more rubber? without do all that stuff[:I]
The problem you are going to have is most all the tires in 17" diameter are performance tires that are only available in low aspect ratios. You might be able to find some 60 series in 17" but they are going to have a much larger overall diameter.

You are going to have to go to a smaller rim diameter to get the fat tire look.

However the reason I'm writing this is to offer a solution to "bigger tires mess up the computer". If all the tires are uniformly sized all it will do is throw off the speedometer, the odometer, and automatic's shift points. Since there are no longer physical speedometer gears in the trans to allow for tire sizes, we need another adjustment variable. What about checking for interchangeability of speed sensors with cars with larger rolling diameter tires such as the Pacifica, Concorde, minivans, etc. all front wheel drive?
I do not think that will work! The speed sensors just count revolutions. It's the ECM that translates that into distance/speed info. I know that on GM trucks you can actually access the tire diameter info in the memory of the ECM and change it for different size tires. Do not know if that is possible with the D-C ECM's

Thanks tcams76 for the link to the tire calc. It makes the tire size decision waaaaaay easier for me being able to "See It".
