Anyone do it?
Daughter's GT lost 2 tires to a ditch/pothole - looking at getting stock 16" rims & some good tires. I know 15" steelies fit, but the steelies are much thinner... 16" tires are more abundant(Selection), cheaper, and better in snow/wet. Guess if I get her car here, I couls take a wheel of mine & try...[:I] |

Don,
I know the rotors are thicker on the GTs and I believe because of that the Brake Calipers stick out further and the 16" wheels will NOT clear them. That's why the 17" wheels will work on the non-turbos but not the other way around. Also, I believe the turbo-lite's use the same brakes as the non-turbo and those wheels will not fit the GT either.
