Default Broken bolt

Have a problem. I got my tires rotated at Sears, they must have put one of the bolts back on off thread. I was trying to take off the tires to paint the rear drums and shear the bolt with the nut right off the axle. How do I get this fixed??

Thanks in advance if anyone here can provide help.

You can use a EZ Out. Pick it up at Sears. Buy another stud at a tire shop or dealer. Or put everything back together and take it down to a tire shop. They deal with broken studs all of the time.

You're okay driving with 4 studs - I'd go back to Sears, and point out that they were last to touch it - It's not a big cost and they should eat it.

I fully agree. My dealer replaced some on my Cruiser at no cost since they service it. Yes, I have a super Chrysler dealer.

Finally to recap this. I had to get the parts, like $3 for Sears to finally find the time to do it. Glad they had there BMW tech on board that day, he was quick, works part time for some extra cash, nice guy too.

My pet peeve is crossed lugs.
Tire jockeys are racing to slap those wheels back on as fast as possible.
I stood on my tee bar with one and snapped the wrench in half before breaking lug off.
It's just not right.

Just picked up an '01 Limited....looks pretty, but that's about it so far...

TWO cross-threaded nuts on the driver front wheel (checked all the others and they're okay). Got one nut off w/o breaking the stud, but the threads are hosed. The 2nd is totally stuck... First that, THEN the brakes, the control arm bushings, the oil pan leak, the lift gate struts, the.... LOL.
