Default Peeling chrome

This is an update to an earlier post I made. The chrome on my wheels was peeling off. I took it to my dealer and they are giving me four brand new wheels. There was no argument about it. They wanted to have them re-chromed but they cannot find a place that can turn them around in less than 6-8 weeks. So they called yesterday to tell me that they have ordered four brand new wheels. Yay!

I have a 2002 Lt Almond Pearl Cruiser that is 18 months old now.

Just goes to show DC can be responsive to consumer needs and, usually, provides good customer service. All too frequently we only hear about the bad [V] experiences people have had with DC. So far, I have been fortunate in that all of my dealings with staff at the dealership where I purchased my car have be positive and the work performed has been excellent.

Excellent chrome / re-chromeing of wheels, bumpers, etc. at Alert Bumpers, (now owned by Keystone). They even fix bent wheels. Located in Largo Fl. Ulmerton at 66th, 727-538-8814 They exchange PT limited chrome 5 spoke solid, non-clad wheels for $250 ea. compared to dealer cost of $600 new.

DON'T USE ACID BASED CLEANERS ON CHROME WHEELS, IT WILL EAT RIGHT THROUGH IT.
