Hi,

I put on Michelin Pilot Xalto's on my 05 GT when it was brand new. I had the Goodyear Eagle GSA's that I found to be awful. I really like the Michelin for handling and additionally very quiet.

I am going to go with General Tire UHP tires for my 17" turbo wheels. Road and Track rated them very well, and they are pretty inexpensive tires. They are summer only tires, but thats what my wheels will be used for.

I would definitely shy away from Goodyear tires. Goodyear HAS to make SOME good tires, but I haven't heard of any of them. I guess the only reason Goodyear is still around is because they are OE tires on so many cars.

I just got 40.000 miles on a set of Continental Extreme Contacts (yeah, a dumb name).

Great all-season grip, and a reasonable price. (Price per mile is pretty darn good).

here is my review of them on epinions:

That's awful! I got about twice that on my Good-for-s Years, but when I went to Michelin Hydroedge, I got more of a handling improvement than I got from a rear sway bar and lowering! I have at least 15,000 mile son the Michelins, and no sign of wear.

Anyone tried the Riken Raptors? Supposedly made by Michelin and the price is decent.
