There are so many choices for your car, cruise through the photos in the gallery to see if there is anything you like.

Looks great. Would you know if that rim would fit a "06 GT turbo. I have 205/50R 17" and I hate them. The ride is to hard and I keep breaking steel belts. I know the brakes on the GT are bigger?

Paulie

If you are talking about my American Eagle wheels, from everything I have ever heard they will fit your GT.

I love the 16" five spokes. Really nice on your car. I have been struggling getting 18" tires. finally got a set with 225/40/18 and 245/45/18 rear to give that classic look. Will post pics soon.

Hey the rim and tire combo looks great!!! I wanted to go with a similar rim to that by american racing but it was $700 just for the rims. What size tire did you go to? I ordered 205 55 16 for mine but have contiplated going wider, the only thing is I dont want to lose any more milage and am scared of
going with different widths front and back because of rotation I put alot of miles on my cars, and so far this is my daily driver.

With a newborn in the house the budget wouldnt allow the american racing rims so I opted for the cheaper 675 ssc from sears. 360 for all 4. and ordered firestone fuzion tires.

the sad thing is if I keep the car I will probably change them again in a year and buy the ones that I wanted in the first place, not really a savings if you look at it that way

I do work in a shop that does tire repair and I strongly recomend taking off those wheels in the winter I have seen the toll that salt takes on chrome covered wheels in a very short time I kept my stock wheels and they have winterforce tires on them I would really recomend the winterforce tires if you have snow and ice but they dont last in the summer.. I can't wait for the tires to get here I am just like a kid at christmas

here is a link to the ssc rim if any one wants inexpensive rim it is a lot of bang for the buck

My rims are 16x7 and my tires are 225/50/R16 Toyo Proxe 4's and they are directional tires so I put the same size all around because I can only rotate front to back.

I kept my stock rims and Good For a Years and put them on for the winter. I don't really drive it in the winter. I only took the car out once a week or so on the nice winter days for about a 20 mile run down the highway just to keep it running and not let it sit.

This car is a '05 that I bought brand new last year and it only has 4000 miles on it, about 2000 on each set of tires.

Regards
Terry

Hey Winddancer

I checked on tirerack.com the 225-50-16 have the same revolutions per mile as my 205-55-16,(837) so they wont change the speedo and shouldnt effect the milage. since I have no intention of running them in the winter they should have no effect on the car except making it look cooler.

thanks for the advice.

the price difference was only $3 per tire so that was a no brainer
