Its not too bad of a job if you have decent tools like press, pullers, big bench vise etc. Took me about 8hrs to do both sides
Subject vehical is a 2007 base sedan, Auto, 2.4 here are a few pics...

Exploded view of hub assembly

Remove caliper and rotor, hang the caliper up out of the way...

undo tie rod, remove lower ball joint pinch bolt/nut, strut to knuckle bolts, remove driveshaft bolt and remove knuckle

Replacement bearings...about $120cdn at Napa

After the hub is pressed out of the knuckle/bearing you will need to remove a portion of the bearing shell that remains, here is the hub after the bearing shell has been removed

Here is the knuckle with the new bearing pressed in, don't forget to reinstall the retainer (not shown here)

pulling the hub in through the new bearing, you could also press it on.

then its a matter of reassembly, use a new cotterpin and make sure all fasteners are tight, give the brakes a feww pumps before moving vehical to reseat pads and go for a road test. This is the first time I have driven mine with quiet bearings...I can even hear the radio.

thats a good step by step guide
very helpfull
i did mine a few mnths back and the bearing was well stuck in
in end had to be put in a very heavy duty press @ a local engineering workshop
it must be one of the widest wheel bearings ive had to replace so far
my bearing cost me over £60 gbp

Right front @ 114K. Bearing was around $50, took the knuckle off and had it cleaned up and pressed in for another $30 at a machine shop.

I've done 4 so far.... first round at ~85k and ~95k, second round at ~150k and ~165k. Glad I purchased a 40ton shop press from harbor freight ($160 at the time), its been useful. I am not a fan of this car, I'll get 200K out of this like all my cars but it wasn't fun. My concorde on the other hand has 251K and runs like a champ. The key is never changing the tranny fluid

FYI, I'd like meet the intern engineer that designed the front PTcontrol arms (specifically "the bushing") kick him in the jimmy and revolk his PE license.

2002

Finally replaced the screaming bearing I had at 100K. After 5k of listening to it I could not take it anymore.

After driving a half mile away from the shop I wondered why I waited so long. I could actually hear the road noise now....amazing

But how long are they going to last this time around?

Who says he has a PE license which doesnt mean jack anyways. The PE's I work with in my current job couldnt hold a candle to the design engineers I used to work with.

anyhow you should kick the bean counters, they dictate the cost which impacts the design choice and the vendor used.
