Poll: Wheel Bearing Replacement
Just taking a poll on whom had to have their front wheel bearings replaced? Please post MY and Mileage.
I'll start, 2004 PT GT, 41k.

Never. 87,000 miles on my '02 PT
60,000 on my '05 PT other cars - 145,000 on a '95 Neon and 195,000 on a '92 Dodge Spirit - never a wheel bearing....

I just found out today that my front bearings need replacement...The dealer quoted me $501 for this....

I have an 06, With 37,800 Miles...Had Front Axles and Front Wheel Bearings Replaced ( Axles at 22,000 Miles and Bearings at 37,400 Miles ) I paid $775 for Bearings ( Parts/Labor ) Supposedly I was told they see this often w/ Chryslers...Hmm That's not exactly a good thing... :-)
So..Yeah I'm sure everyone will replace them atleast once..If you don't your lucky. $501 Isn't tooooo bad, atleast it's less then what I paid. Take Care!!! Cat

The Axles were but not the wheel bearings...because it was 1400 miles over the 3yr/36000 mile warr....i am considering buying the extended warr, but I need to do research first on those.

2003 GT 90,000 miles. Left side, along with tie rod. My mechanic said the offset wheels put alot of strain on the bearings. Charged me $220. It's best to find a local reputable mechanic and not the dealer.
