Really nice look, gives it the Hot Rod look and you don't see many around like this, very nice.

The new wheels and tires look sharp. Could I ask you what brand the wheels are or where you puchased them? Thanks!

GW,
Sure, I got the wheels from Moss Motors @ http://www.cruiserbits.com/
They have always been great to do business with. All of my mods are from them.
Prices were a little higher than some of the other suppliers but when I found out they were (at one time) buying them from the same manuf. that was giving everyone problems, ie. going out of round and not being able to keep them balanced, I was looking for another supplier. They stopped handling them for a period of time, then, when they got them back it was from another manuf. They now have a one year warrenty on the chrome and manuf. defects. This includes staying in balance, under normal driving conditions of course.
By the way I bought the 15" wheels so I could get a taller sidewall on the tires. Just don't like the lowprofile look.

Thanks for that info. I have a Moss catalog so will look them up there. They sure look sharp on your Cruiser!

I had nothing but trouble with the Goodyear Eagle LS tires that came on the car. At about 8,000 miles I started getting a shimmy at speeds between 20 to 45. I tried everything to correct the problem. I finally scrapped them and put on a set of Michelin Harmony’s. So far I am very happy with them, they seem to handle very nicely. Has anyone else had a problem with the Goodyear’s that come on the cruiser.

BigMike,

I have about 9000 miles on my GT '03 and just this morning noticed a "shimy" or intermitend vibration at 120KPH (75MPH), it is a noticable vibration in the steering wheel, is this simalar to the problem you had? If so did you try a wheel balance before replacing the tires?

Yes, I was always good when it comes to balance and rotate. Both Chrysler and a Goodyear dealer could not find what was wrong with the tires. The shimmy disapeared over 45 mph.
The head mechanic at my local Chrysler repair shop did tell me that they have been getting a lot of complaints about the Eagle LS tires on PT Cruisers.
