Default Need some help with brake system

I have an '04 Pt Cruiser, non-turbo. I have quite a bit of knowledge about car repairs. I went out and bought a new Caliper for my front driver brake. I replaced it just as the old one came off, bled the brake system and tested them.

My problem is... I can't get my brakes back to the way they were before i did this. I have tried everything I know to fix it, but to no avail. When I go to press down on the brakes, I have to push it completely to the floor for it to start to stop. If Im going at a decent speed and hit the brakes, the right brake grabs and causes the car to pull to that side. I have no problem with my E-Brake, but i just cant seem to get my front brakes working. Anyone know wut i may have forgotten to do?

Sounds like you still have air in the system causing the left front not to do it's job.

Doesn't matter, you're going to lose some fluid. Use a jar to capture what fluid does come out so you can reuse it (as long as it stays clean). The pedal will tell you of any air left in the system.

1) Since you took off a line, you will need to bleed all four corners as removing the line provided opportunity for air to get deep into the system. Start with the farthest line from the brake booster working to the closest corner.

2) The air will tend to try to stay at the highest point in the line, which is not the calipers in any car I've ever seen. It's usually at at a bend in the flex line to the caliper. Because of this, you will need to flush ALOT to get the air out of the line.

You can easily go through a large bottle of brake fluid bleeding all four corners FYI.

Yes, bleed all 4 corners! and bleed plenty of fluid into the catch bottle. Brake fluid is cheaper than an accident.
