Default Re: NEW TIRES??? PIRELLI OR MICHELIN or BF GOODRICH

The BF Goodrich T/A I had on my last car only lasted half thier warranty rating until the treads were worn out, and they were louder than any other entry-performance tire I've ever used. That was five years ago, so maybe they're better now?

Not a bad price for a silica based tire with assymetric tread. And you can't go wrong with Yok.

I have Michelin Hydroedge on my Subaru Outback, and They are exceptional in every way, but $120. They are the top of the line Michelin, and I would not consider any other Michelin over them. I normally buy Firestone, Bridgestone, as I have a great dealer and have good luck with them but they wear out too fast on Subaru's. I use the Fuzion HRI (Bridgestone) on my Focus SVT and even in the 45/17 size, it's OK in snow, and very good otherwise. looks like it will go 40,000 and is quiet and good in rain. I have been debating Fuzion HRI for my PT Touring, 55/16, $80, but may try the BF Goodrich Traction T/A "T" rating based on rave reviews on Tire Rack with promise of better snow performance, equal dry performance to Fuzion, and 70,000 mile rating. $70 each too. The OEM BFG Traction T/A are completely different from the "T" version, and are hated on Tire Rack, which backs up the earlier comment on them in this thread.

OK I finally made a deal,,, the same outfit I origionally purchased my Bridgestone G009's from but a different store location. I appealed tothe manager there & he warranted my G009 & upgraded me to the NEW G019 GRIDS-also by Bridgestone at a fair price! They ride great & are quiet! Raod hazzard & future balance & rotation included for life of the tire. Its maazing how different each place operates.Avoid the CHRYSLER DEALERS AT ALL COST except for Warranty work..Again thanks for all the suggestions.
