I'm running 215's with a 3" drop. You'll be fine.

I am running Kumho Ecsta ASX tires on mine, 225/45/17 on the front and 245/40/18 on the back. Mine is lowered 2.5 inches all around and there have been no issues. The Kumhos are an amazing tire for high speed and they provide amazing response and grip for harsh cornering. They are rated up to 170 mph.

Very cool! Can you take a picture of the tires/rims, showing the width difference? Thanks man, if you can do that that would be great! -DJ P.S. I have been looking at these: General Altimax HP they are apparently really really good. |

Only side pic I have with the lowering is here:

I am running the same size, but Kumho XPTs.
Great "perfromance tire" and good looking. But... ...terrible in icy conditions! In my case I put the OEM all-season BadYears back on in winter. Image of The SOONERCRUISER Wallpaper - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

![]() 215's are not too wide at all. Looks like something the factory might have put on. |

That car does indeed look pretty sick!
I am debating whether or not to buy the tires from Town Fair Tire near my house.. They are cheaper by $4 and plus tax. Shipping would be $36 online, and the tires would cost $83. Now TFT costs $12.95 PER tire to balance!!!!! ![]() I am trying to debate whether I should just mount the tires at the gas station im friendly with, and then go some where else to get them balanced. the tire machine at the local shop is all out of whack and would not do a good job..... I gotta find out how to get this done cheaper! P.S Should we go 225 all around?!!!! Last edited by DJmart : 13 May 2008 at 06:41 am. Reason: added |
