Default Cragar Wheels

I found this site for Cragar Wheels:

http://www.cragarwheel.com/index.html

The S/S wheels take me back to my high school days. I use to have a 78' Firebird with those wheels and I loved to cruise to the after school ball games and dances.

Upon looking at this site at the S/S wheels, I was thinking that these wheels may be too heavy for a PT Cruiser, that perhaps I would lose some performance and MPG benefits. Anyone else think this is the case? I appreciate anyone's comments. I'm getting closer to getting my PT! [8)]

Look closely at their catalog. Most their wheels are for RWD Rear Wheel Drive. Only a few for FWD.

Wheels to fit PT look a lot like chrome GTs. That's a stiff price to pay for S/S center caps.

I think the new Cragar SS will fit the PT. The old ones were for RWD but I do believe the new are for FWD. I was actually considering those for my car, cuz I too love the ol' 70's look with fat tires and all. However, do a little homework (that'll REALLY take ya back to your high school days!) and check the offset, bolt pattern, and appropriate tire sizes, just to be sure.

If you like the Crager, try going to www.wheelsforless.com and look at the American Racing series.

They look similar to my American racing wheels that I have on my PT.
Unfortunately I can attach a pic here or I'd show you.
